Preschool & Kindergarten

We offer partial and full day programs including:

 Toddler Programs: 2, 3 or 5 Day

This program is for the child who is two years old by October 1. The toddler class has 10 children and 2 teachers. The smaller class size allows the young child to socialize and explore in a comfortable, warm environment. Toddlers learn to follow directions, socialize, and communicate. They are introduced to sounds, numbers, shapes, colors and more. We also gladly help with potty training for any who are still in diapers or pull-ups. This program helps to prepare the young child for a successful preschool experience.

 Preschool Programs: 2, 3, 4 or 5 Day

Preschool – 2 and 3 day

These partial week programs are an introduction to the Montessori environment. By its very nature, a partial week program results in a slower paced exploration of the curriculum for the young three or four year old. The children learn to be part of a community as they work with Montessori materials with a particular emphasis on developing the concentration, coordination, independence, order, and confidence that is essential for all later learning.

Preschool – 4 and 5 day

The four and five day program is perfect for the child who is ready to enjoy a more comprehensive Montessori experience. The curriculum moves more quickly than the 2 and 3 day program, providing more opportunities for lessons in language, math, geography, history, science, sensorial, art, practical life, music, Sign language, yoga and in-depth unit studies. Each activity is geared to assist children in the development of their concentration, coordination, independence, order, and confidence that is essential for all later learning. This holistic approach creates a joyful, interested learner and an independent, capable and well-rounded student now and in later school years.

 Kindergarten Program

Our kindergarten program allows for freedom of movement while helping the child become accustomed to completing assigned tasks. Children work with concrete materials to learn complex skills in language and math, explore concepts in geography, history, science, sensorial, art, practical life, and benefit from weekly enrichment lessons in music, Sign Language, yoga and in-depth unit studies. Student/Teacher ratios of 12:1 allow each child the opportunity to benefit from an individualized education. Our nurturing teachers provide many opportunities for leadership, grace and courtesy, and problem solving while presenting practical life lessons for 1st grade and beyond.
